Spring rolls are fried Chinese pastries. Spring rolls are usually eaten during the Spring Festival in China, hence the name. Best serverd at once, hot and crispy, with sweet and sour sauce for dipping.

Soetkoekies are traditional South African biscuits of Dutch origin, made with flour and wine. (“soet” means “sweet” and “koekies” are “cookies”). Preparation time is about 20 minutes, cooking time is 10 minutes.
